In internal burners is installed in the computer by opening the case and installed , but sometimes you can buy a computer that already has one built into it. The external burner connects to your computer or laptop with a USB connectors. Most external burners are more expensive than the internal ones.  The burners are convenient means for making back up, copying and sharing home movies that you have recorded. You can also purchase a dual layer DVD burner and the reading or writing capacity of such burners are twice that of a single DVD burner.
